McGills Chartered Accountants has continued to back the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire community with the announcement of its Charity of the Year – Parkinson’s UK.

Offering support and information to local people with Parkinson’s disease and their loved ones, the Cirencester and Stroud branch of Parkinson’s UK provides a range of support through its work, including regular activities, social gatherings, external trips and outings and speaker events.

This partnership is the latest initiative driven by the long-standing commitment to the local community at McGills Chartered Accountants – last year raising a significant amount for The Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC).

Working with the Cirencester and Stroud branch of Parkinson’s UK, the firm will appear alongside the charity at its fundraising events and other activities throughout the year – including the upcoming (and highly anticipated) Clubbing Together golf day and pairs competition on 17 May.

Simon Nuttall, Partner at McGills Chartered Accountants, said: “I am delighted that we’re working with Parkinson’s UK this year and that we’re able to give this support to the local community.

“The team at Parkinson’s UK does incredible work for people affected by Parkinson’s, and having a local branch is so important, particularly in regions such as ours where rural communities often go without these sorts of services.

“We’ll be proudly standing with the Parkinson’s UK team at their events throughout the year and using our platforms to raise awareness of the incredible work that they do.

“Thank you as well to our team and those who have already helped us support the Cirencester and Stroud branch – let’s keep going!”
