Corporate Social Responsibility
At McGills, we take pride in making a positive contribution to our local communities in Cirencester, Malmesbury and Fairford.
Here is an overview of just a few of the ways in which we have been able to make a difference:
December 2024
We were delighted to have a stall at the Fairford Christmas Light Switch on and Market. Christmas is always said to be for children but then they come in all ages, Splat the Santa was a testament to that. Lots of fun and a rather bruised looking Santa and friends, after a couple of hours hard work. The sweets given to those successful in Splatting Santa were excitedly accepted. Whilst Splat the Santa took centre stage we were raising funds for our charity of the year, Parkinsons UK.
April 2024
We hosted an afternoon tea in aid of Parkinson’s UK!
This is our first fundraising event for our charity of the year, but there is much more to come.
It was fantastic to support such an amazing cause with some sweet treats!
They also attended some local business awards (pictures attached)
Congratulations to all the winners of the Fairford and Lechlade Awards! 🎉
We had a fantastic night sponsoring the event and celebrating the achievements of local businesses.
A big well done to Harriet Elliot from reGarb for winning first place!

We donated £41 to Evie’s Gift and £41 to LINC.
November 2023
We were delighted to exhibit at the Westonbirt School Careers Convention, giving the students an overview of what a career in accountancy can look like.
It’s not just about numbers, accountants help to shape the businesses of the future!
November 2023
The team made a fantastic effort for BBC Children in Need. Aside from showing off our wonderful costumes, we’ve also raised money for this vital cause.
October 2023
We had a fantastic time at our Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning! There were plenty of cakes to be had with our #bakeoff competition, and we even had a raffle. We appreciate all that #Macmillan does for people and enjoyed being able to fundraise for them.
August 2023
I picked up the LINC collection pot on Thursday and I am pleased to let you know that there was £137.85 in it. On behalf of LINC may I say a very big thank to all who donated their loose change. Due to the current climate and increasing domestic costs we have received a great deal more requests for financial assistance from LINC patients during their long period of treatment. Thanks to the support of local businesses like McGills we can continue to offer this service.
August 2023
We are thrilled to be taking part in the Malmesbury Carnival Scarecrow Trail. The trail will run from 4th – 28th August and the theme this year is ‘Cartoon Characters’. Maps and entry forms will be available at the Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall. Can you find all the Scarecrows and work out who they are?
August 2023
We are delighted to be the main Sponsor of the Fairford Steam Show on 19th & 20th August. The show is run by volunteers from the local community, so come along and show your support for this much-loved country show.
March 2023
We are pleased to announce the latest recipient of the McGills’ Community Fund is the Pop-Up Kitchen After School Cooking Club at Fairford Primary School. The £1,000 donation will help to fund the term-time sessions and will help to pay for kitchen utensils and equipment, enabling the youngsters to enjoy the full learning experience of cooking a meal from scratch.
Take advantage of our free meeting even if you just need a second opinion. We’d really like a chance to prove to you that we can save you time, money and tax.
