Professionals from leading Cotswolds accountancy firm don their running shoes to raise hundreds for air ambulance

Professionals from one of the Cotswolds’ leading accountancy firms have donned their running shoes to raise hundreds for an air ambulance charity.

Members of the team at McGills Chartered Accountants, which has offices in Cirencester and Malmesbury put their best feet forward on Sunday 1 October 2017 to take part in the Cricklade Half Marathon, 10k and Fun Run.

Chris Cooper and Jenna Prior ran the 10k, while Paula and Emily Schramm ran the Fun Run. The race numbers for all three events were sponsored by McGills Chartered Accountants.

The quartet have so far raised £145 for The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which will be matched by the firm, giving them a total of £290 for the cause. The Midlands Air Ambulance operates three helicopters throughout the Midlands and Gloucestershire.

Chris Cooper said: “This was a real challenge, but I am delighted that we have been able to raise a good sum for a very important charity.”

Alison Palmer, a Partner at McGills Chartered Accountants, added: “All of us here at McGills would like to congratulate Chris, Jenna, Paula and Emily on their efforts. We are delighted that we have been able to help them raise so much for a very deserving cause.”
