In a drive to expand the services and support available to its clients and the Cotswold’s business community, McGills Chartered Accountants, has joined Monahans following investment by the Sumer Group.

The firm, which has offices in Cirencester, Malmesbury and Fairford, has had a close, long-standing relationship with Monahans and feels that it offers the perfect fit for their practice.

For its existing clients, they will see no changes to the original team or fee structure but will be able to access new expertise and services via the coming together of the two practices.

McGills will continue to trade under its original name, but its three current Partners, Simon Nuttall, Sharla Dandy and Helen Jones will take up similar roles within Monahans.

With a close set of shared values and ethos, McGills and Monahans believe this new partnership will expand the availability of high-quality services to businesses and individuals in the region.

Speaking about the latest development in the firm’s 55-year history, Simon Nuttall, said: “We are delighted to be joining forces with the team at Monahans.

“They have a great culture, which reflects our own beliefs and drive for quality, as well as a shared dedication to our clients. We think this move will be great for us, our clients and our local communities.”

Monahans is one of the leading firms of Chartered Accountants in the south west of England with offices in Bath, Swindon, Chippenham, Frome, Glastonbury, Taunton and Trowbridge.

It has a dedicated team of 14 partners and around 150 employees, who are also excited about the new merger.

Monahans’ Managing Partner, Simon Tombs, says, “McGills has been providing excellent financial and business advice to organisations in the Cotswolds for more than half a century, with an unrivalled reputation in the region. The firm complements Monahans in its expertise and shares the same focus on providing an excellent service for its clients.”
