An accountancy firm, which has an office in Malmesbury, has signalled its ambitions for the future with the appointment of a new trainee.
Shereen Shams-Eldin has joined the Malmesbury office of McGills Chartered Accountants as a Trainee Accountant, where she will assist with accounting and tax-related matters for businesses and organisations of various sizes.
Having already attained the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 qualification, Shereen is now working towards gaining her Level 4 qualification.
She is experienced in using a wide range of cloud accounting packages, something that will be increasingly in demand from businesses in the coming years with the first phase of HM Revenue & Customs’ Making Tax Digital programme beginning in April 2019 for VAT.
Shereen said: “McGills Chartered Accountants has a strong reputation for providing excellent client service, with its philosophy of working in partnership with clients.
“I am delighted to be part of this and I am looking forward to making a difference for our clients and their businesses.”
Simon Nuttall, a Partner at McGills Chartered Accountants, added: “It is wonderful to be able to welcome Shereen to the team. I know that our clients will value her input as she works towards the next stage of professional qualification.”
In addition to its office in Malmesbury, McGills Chartered Accountants has an office in Cirencester, enabling the firm to work closely with businesses from across the area.
