Accountants say ‘keep it local’ as they urge the Malmesbury community to use local businesses

A leading Malmesbury accountancy firm is urging people in the town to ‘keep it local’ by using local businesses where possible.

McGills Chartered Accountants, which has an office on Cross Hayes in the town centre, is handing out bags free of charge as part of its efforts to promote the ‘keep it local’ initiative.

Simon Nuttall, a Partner at McGills Chartered Accountants, said: “Malmesbury has a great range of local businesses contributing to the vitality of the town and which are a wonderful resource for local people.

“Local businesses offer great levels of personal service which are more difficult to find at large chains and provide jobs and wealth for the local community. Keeping it local has a wide range of social, economic and environmental benefits as well as helping to give our town its distinct character.

“I’d encourage local people to come to our office and pick up a bag to help them ‘keep it local’.”

Anyone wishing to collect a ‘keep it local’ bag can do so by visiting McGills Chartered Accountants, 1st Floor The Barn, Cross Hayes, Malmesbury, SN16 9BE.
