Sage one accreditation success for Ben

A big congratulations to Ben Symons, who has recently become a Sage One Certified Advisor!

We are delighted to announce that our colleague Ben Symons, has recently been accredited as a Sage One Certified Advisor.

Ben, who is based at our Cirencester office, passed the rigorous accreditation process with flying colours and is already helping many of our clients convert to the Sage One web-based cloud accounting system.

Ben said: “’Cloud’ accounting packages such as Sage One are becoming increasingly important to businesses of all sizes and I am delighted to have been awarded ‘certified advisor’ status.

“This will further assist our clients in having easy access to the financial information they need to run their business, when they need it and where they need it.”

Simon Nuttall, a Partner at McGills Chartered Accountants, added: “We would like to congratulate Ben on his accreditation.

“I know that our clients will value his input as they reap the benefits that Sage One has to offer as they prepare for Making Tax Digital requirements.”

From April 2019, all businesses with a turnover exceeding £85,000 a year will be required to make quarterly online returns to HMRC using ‘designated software packages’ in line with the Government’s Making Tax Digital initiative. It is widely expected that similar requirements will be extended to other taxes, such as Corporation Tax, in future years.
