The team at McGills have chosen Young Minds as their annual charity for 2021.
Young Minds is the UK’s leading charity, fighting for children and young people’s mental health.
You can find out more about the charity, the vital work it does and the difference it makes to the lives of children and young people here.
Over the next 12 months, we will be arranging a number of fundraising activities.
Our first sponsored event will see our colleague, Debbie Brunton, walking a grand total of 250 miles during the month of April.
By ‘springing’ into action and putting her best foot forward, she hopes to raise £500 to support the fantastic work of this very worthy cause.
If you would like to support Debbie’s fundraising efforts in aid of Young Minds, you can donate via her JustGiving page here.
About Young Minds
Young Minds aims to help children and young people with a range of mental health issues before they reach crisis point,
They are leading the movement to make sure every young person gets the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
In the UK today, an estimated five children in every classroom has a mental health problem. A quarter of 17-year-old girls have self-harmed in the last year, while suicide remains the single biggest killer of boys and young men.
The charity provides young people with tools to look after their mental health and provide them with the space and confidence they need to ensure their voices are heard.
