Keep on running – McGills’ Ben Symons is part way through 100-mile charity challenge

A member of the McGills’ team is going the extra mile for a worthy local cause.

Ben Symons, who is a Partner’s Assistant based in our Cirencester office, is part way through a 100 mile running challenge during the month of February for the children’s charity, Evie’s Gift.

The added difficulty of completing the run whilst adhering to lockdown restrictions, means that Ben is running locally and breaking the challenge into five weekly sessions.

Ben explained:  “This latest challenge has taken some planning as obviously I’m not allowed to stray too far from home given the current coronavirus restrictions on exercising outside.

“My route includes running the white horses of Hackpen Hill in Wiltshire, which is where I did a lot of my training before lockdown.”

Ben has set himself a target of raising £500 for McGill’s official charity of the year – Evie’s Gift.

Ben is posting regular updates on his JustGjving page so if you would like to know how far he has run to date or wish to support him with a donation, please visit his JustGiving page.
