Celebrating 50 years in 2016

This year we are celebrating 50 years of supporting businesses, individuals and the community across Cirencester, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

We are a very different firm today compared to the firm that began life in 1966.  Founded by John McGill our offices were originally based in Dollar Street and it was in 1979 that we outgrew them and moved to our current home in Oakley House, Cirencester.

In 2005 we acquired the longstanding practice of Baulcombe and Co based in Lechlade, including long-term member of staff, Barbara Peare, who we are pleased to say is still with us, as are many of Tony’s clients.

Ten years on in 2015, we acquired Malmesbury Accountants to further expand and today McGills is one of the leading, independent firms in the area, with two offices and a team of 21 people.

Our continued success comes, without question, from the hard work of our committed and experienced team and the outstanding support and loyalty of our client base. Our two Directors, Simon Nuttall and Alison Palmer, are supported by a very friendly and talented team of accountants including managers, Deborah Morton, who heads our new Malmesbury office and Clare Bowen in Cirencester.

Great partnerships start here is our company ethos and together with our clients, we look forward to being able to celebrate this 50 year milestone and to being part of our community for many more years to come.
